Debuting our first direct trade coffee from the South Central region of Mexico, the State of Puebla, specifically Tlatlauquitepec. Sourced from the Rancho Santa Fe coffee farm, founded in 1950 by the Carmen family, owned and operated by a new generation of coffee farmers, Fernando and Mari Carmen Lima. This coffee is sourced ensuring fair wages, sustainable growing practices, and a deep connection for the care and quality of coffee.

Despite challenges in the late 20th century, including nationwide governmental, political, and socioeconomic factors, Tlatlauquitepec’s dedication to coffee quality remains intact. Today, it stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of its people and their commitment to preserving artisanal practices that reflect the region’s eclectic culture and deep-rooted love for coffee.

Part of our excitement for this coffee is the sustainable agricultural and processing methods; including being shade grown, which helps to ensure bio-diversity in the area, and recirculating washing method that makes use of local natural resources as efficiently as possible. Along with our all electric roasting, which reduces our greenhouse gas emissions by ~21%; this coffee we are proud to call sustainable.
